SEWA alleviates the suffering of Syrian refugee's children with a generous donation of AED 2 million

Charity Suhoor and donations of AED 1million generated from the event at Sharjah ladies Club

UAE, Sharjah, 29th  July 2013: With the Syrian crisis degenerating on an hourly basis, and the gap in the funding required by the Syria Regional Response Plan to help 1,846,486 million refugees spreading around in Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey, Iraq and North Africa, The Big Heart for Syrian Refugee Children continues its humanitarian efforts, and donations from Big hearts still continuing to provide Syrians Refugees with life-saving humanitarian assistance including food, shelter, healthcare and education.

On behalf of all the beneficiaries of the “Big Heart for Syrian Refugee Children” campaign, The Executive office of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, applauds the generous patronage of Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qassimi, chairperson of Sharjah Investment & Development Authority – Shurooq, Deputy Chairperson of Sharjah Ladies Club, of “Charity Suhoor” supporting the Big Heart Campaign, for the relief of the Syrian Refugee children.

The Big Heart Campaign expresses heartfelt gratitude to Sharjah Ladies Club & Khawla Al Serkal, the Director of SLC, for their constant cooperation and continued support, and for hosting this humanitarian event to alleviate the suffering of Syrian refugees.Her Highness' Executive Office is grateful to all the supporters of The Big Heart Campaign who have generously contributed their time and effort and funds to come to the aid of Syrian refugees. The aid to this cause keeps pouring in which is a testimony to the fact that people of the UAE care and always reach out to help their brothers and sisters in need.

Special thanks to Sharjah Electricity Water Authority for donating AED 2 million which will go toward providing shelter & a better life to Syrian refugees.

The Big Heart and Her Highness Executive office would also like to thank Mr.Hamid Jaffar - chairman of the board of the Crescent Group of companies, and his wife Mrs. Sawsan Jaffar for making a life-changing contribution of AED 1 million and Mr. & Mrs. Majid Jaffar for their donation of AED 100,000.It is also important to mention and thank Mr. & Mrs. Badr Jaffar for their kind donation.

These contributions are massive boosts in the humanitarian cause of giving hope to our Syrian children in their greatest time of need, as these generous donations will go a long way towards providing food, shelter, education, medical attention and other vital necessities that help to relieve them from their hardships.
