ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Tuesday, July 9th 2013 [ME NewsWire]: The Al Ain Police Directorate prepares to welcome the Holy Month of Ramadan. It has established a comprehensive police and security plan to provide the best police services to the public, meet their needs, and process their transactions throughout the Holy Month.
Brigadier Hamad Al AjlanAmimi, Director of the Al Ain Police Directorate, said: “All comprehensive police stations are ready to provide comfort and safety to public. We will empower social awareness due to the emergence of some immoral people during the Holy Month. Our social patrols will educate people on the negative practices that increase during Ramadan, such as begging near mosques, residential areas and malls; randomly and recklessly parked vehicles in front of mosques during the Taraweeh Prayers; in addition to other negative issues that could threaten community members.”
Al Amimi called upon members of the public to cooperate with the “Your Safety” campaign, carried out by the Police Operations Directorate General in collaboration with the Security Media Department at the General Secretariat of His Highness Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior's Office.
“This campaign complements the regular awareness campaigns to provide comfort and safety to the publiclaunched by the Abu Dhabi Police, within its preparations for the Holy Month and Eid festivities,” he added.
Al Amimi also encouraged the public to contact the Al Ain Police Operations Room to report any negative practices witnessed throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan; community members can report such instances by dialing 999. He highlighted the continuous collaboration and the existing mutual partnership between the public and the police, which aims to maintain societal security and safety, and prevent immoral people from tainting the joy and spirit of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
