Celebrating Emerald Month With New Fabergé X Gemfields Colours Of Love Creations

In celebration of May’s birthstone, the emerald, Fabergé has introduced a capsule collection of new, unique creations to its Colours of Love collection, in collaboration with Gemfields. Gemfields is a world-leading responsible miner and marketer of coloured gemstones and specialises in emeralds from its Kagem mine in Zambia, operating with transparency, legitimacy and integrity.

The emerald is one of the rarest gemstones in the world, and can only form when two different rock types with contrasting characteristics meet each other under unique geological conditions. Widely regarded as the definition of green, emerald is the perfect colour for spring and has captured hearts and minds throughout the ages, from Egyptian pharaohs to modern day royalty. This verdant gemstone is also said to symbolise growth, peace, hope and fertility.

Gemfields’ responsibly mined Zambian emeralds feature heavily in the Fabergé Colours of Love collection; this vibrant collection exemplifies ‘A Life in Colour’, seamlessly fusing extraordinary coloured gemstones, artistic ingenuity and exceptional craftsmanship and is inspired by Peter Carl Fabergé’s passion for coloured gems.

In celebration of May’s birthstone, Fabergé has introduced a collection of one-off creations which spotlight Gemfields’ Zambian emeralds, with each piece set in 18k gold. The capsule collection includes a selection of earrings and rings, and has been complemented with white diamonds.

Stand-out jewels in the collection include the Fabergé x Gemfields Colours of Love Yellow and White Gold Oval Emerald and Pear Shaped Diamond Chevron Ring featuring a 7.06 carat oval cut Gemfields Zambian emerald set in 18k yellow and white gold. The emerald is surrounded by two pear shaped white diamonds and 40 round brilliant cut white diamonds are set on the underside of the ring shank, with a hidden ruby set to the inside of the ring. 

The earrings feature classic styles which can transition from day-to-night, including the Fabergé x Gemfields Colours of Love Yellow and White Gold Pear Shaped Emerald and Diamond Drop Earrings featuring two pear cut Gemfields Zambian emeralds with a total weight of 19.48 carats, set in 18k yellow and white gold. Each earring features a round white rose cut white diamond.

Another show-stopper is the Fabergé x Gemfields Colours of Love White Gold Emerald Cut Emerald and Baguette Step Down Ring, featuring a 2.48 carat emerald cut Gemfields Zambian emerald set in 18k white gold. The emerald is surrounded by four baguette cut diamonds. In keeping with Fabergé’s penchant for surprise, a round Gemfields Mozambican ruby is set on the inside of the ring band.
