Donation handed over to Emirates Red Crescent
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 29 November 2022: Mahzooz, the UAE's favourite weekly draw that which has produced 30 millionaires, is well known in the region not only for its generous weekly prizes, but also for its ongoing social and humanitarian contributions.
In line with its commitment towards the community, Mahzooz partnered again with Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), this time to support the Pakistan flood victims. Pakistan's devastating floods have affected around 33 million people this year including around 16 million children, as the country knew the most severe floodings in its recent history, washing away villages and leaving families and individuals in need of immediate, lifesaving support.
Mahzooz supported the Emirates Red Crescent's Pakistan flood relief initiative through the donation of 500,000 bottles of mineral water in addition to AED 25,000 which will be used by ERC to buy food and other essentials.
“Homes were destroyed, schools have been wiped out and water systems have been severely damaged. By providing water bottles, the affected families can now have access to safe drinking water, minimizing the possibilities of waterborne infections”, said Farid Samji, CEO of EWINGS, Managing Operator of Mahzooz
Mahzooz has partnered in the past with ERC to support their relief initiative to Lebanon following the devastating Beirut blast in 2020. The company is committed to changing people’s lives not only through its generous weekly prizes but also through its continuous social contributions, that are carried out exclusively through official NGOs and not-for-profit organizations, which, together, have touched the lives of over 8000 direct and indirect beneficiaries.
