Mohammed Bin Rashid Library Hosts Dr. Ahmed Emara on the World Mental Health Day

Dubai, UAE, 17th October 2022: On the World Mental Health Day, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library (MBRL) hosted a lecture entitled “The Influence of Thoughts on Accelerating Psychological and Physical Recovery: How Thoughts Impact Physical Wellbeing”, presented by psychologist and bioenergy health consultant Dr. Ahmed Emara. The lecture took place in the Library's main theatre and attended. with a large participation of visitors and members.
“Over the past five decades, the UAE has attached a great importance to mental health, considering it an integral part of public health and one of the main pillars of society's well-being and stability. Mental health is also a catalyst for the productivity of the community and continuous contribution in the development journey. Hence, the UAE has launched many initiatives and strategies that clearly reflect this vision, such as the National Policy for the Promotion of Mental Health,” said Dr. Mohammed Salem Al Mazrouei, Board Member of Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Library Foundation, in his welcoming remarks
“In this sense, MBRL has provided many books, references, dissertations, and university studies specialised in psychology and mental health, which play a key role in promoting community awareness on the importance of mental health and its impact on the safety of the individual. These materials also help introduce life practices that enhance mental health and prevent its negative effects. The Library has also hosted many events, seminars, and workshops supporting this vision,” added Al Mazrouei
“We are pleased that the first MBRL event will host psychologist and bioenergy health consultant Dr. Ahmed Emara, one of the most prominent specialists in mental health education and outreach, especially among youth. On his part, Dr. Ahmed Emara thanked MBRL and its leadership for their great efforts in spreading awareness on the importance of mental health, praising the Library's leading services, facilities, and technologies, as well as its thematic libraries. Dr. Emara also touched upon MBRL's unique role in igniting the passion for knowledge, reading, and learning through many distinctive and innovative events, seminars, and workshops.
Presented by Dr. Ahmed Emara, the lecture focused on several topics, including the influence of thoughts on body chemistry, energy sources of body cell, means of stimulating body immunity, and the possibility of living without any pathologies. The lecture witnessed wide participation from MBRL members and visitors of different ages and nationalities.
The event took place in MBRL’s main theatre, equipped with the latest audio-visual technologies, with a capacity of 500 regular seats, 35 VIP seats and 14 seats for people of determination. The state-of-the-art space is also utilised for meetings, lectures, organising cultural and artistic festivals, and hosting local and international film screenings, theatre performances, and music concerts.
Earlier this month and in collaboration with the Lighthouse Center, MBRL organised a special event on children's mental health. The first hour of the event was dedicated to children, and included fun educational and entertaining activities and innovative games. The second hour included a lecture for parents, and focused on the increasing prevalence of anxiety and depression among the youth and children. It also touched upon some physical health difficulties, and the need for early detection and intervention, with the aim of introducing the family to the symptoms of anxiety and depression, methods of correct diagnosis, and the difference between mental, psychological, and physical problems.
MBRL attaches great importance to health issues and hosts many events related to physical and mental health. The Library also collaborates with prominent specialists to address these topics for all ages. It also houses hundreds of books on health, all of which are available for reading on-site.
