We at Virgin Megastore, always believe in doing business for good. This time, we’re bringing yet another sustainable initiative that lets you trade-in your old items and in return we will recycle and dispose it off efficiently. Isn’t that cool?

 

We’ve collaborated with Ecyclex to ensure that your items are recycled securely. They collect all the materials from our drop of point and recycle them ethically and responsibly. This way, you can give back to the environment without any hassle and do your part. You can also bring in items that are no longer functional and we’ll recycle them for you!

 

It doesn’t stop there; did you know you can trade-in your electronics for points? Not ran by Ecyclex, but from another provider, Circlecom, SWITCH is our trade-in initiative. You can head over to any of the nearest Virgin Megastore’s and trade in your preloved items; the categories include vinyl, games, consoles, MP3 players, mobile phones, smart watches, laptops & tablets.

 

The best part? For every game, console and vinyl that you trade-in, you’ll earn SWITCH points. Each SWITCH point is equal to AED 1. However for laptops, MP3, smartwatches, tablets and mobile phones you’ll receive a cash value voucher.

 

How can you SWITCH?

• Register for the free SWITCH program at the SWITCH counter located at any Virgin Megastore branch.

• If accepted, the total value of your traded in items will immediately be credited to your SWITCH account as either SWITCH points or a cash value voucher.

• All earned cash value vouchers or SWITCH points shall automatically expire after 6 months from the date earned. The date earned is the date when the SWITCH points are credited to your account or when the cash value voucher is issued.

• You can immediately redeem/use your cash value voucher or SWITCH points to buy any products from Virgin Megastore across the UAE. If you wish, you can use also use them later.

• The evaluation of any preloved item depends on its official release date & condition. Hence it is advisable to trade in your items as soon as you can to gain more SWITCH points or cash value vouchers.
