The OMEGA Celebrity Masters Begins a Special Week of Golf
Last Update: Friday, August 26, 2022 : 14:57 (+4GMT)
Ahead of the legendary OMEGA Masters golf tournament being held this week, a special group of celebrities joined the Swiss watchmaker in the mountains on Wednesday to play in the annual OMEGA Celebrity Masters event.
Usually accustomed to walking the red carpet – these famous faces stepped onto the greens of Crans-Montana, displaying their skills of precision in front of an excited crowd.
This year’s group of stars included the American actors Anthony Anderson, Charlie Day, Drew Starkey, Tiffany Haddish, and Ross Butler, as well as Hockey legend, Teemu Selänne and one of the most photographed influencers around, Blake Gray. To boost their amateur status, they were split into teams alongside OMEGA’s own professional players, including Guido Migliozzi, Sean Crocker, and Rasmus Hojgaard.
The OMEGA Celebrity Masters is the brand’s own mini competition, held within Wednesday’s Pro-Am tournament – where a large number of teams are out on the course enjoying the mountain scenery.
Raynald Aeschlimann, President and CEO of OMEGA said, “It’s always fun to bring a new group of celebrity friends to Crans-Montana. This year’s teams came with such enthusiasm and passion, helping to make the day truly memorable. It’s been a perfect way to begin this wonderful week of golf.”
Now, the attention turns to the OMEGA Masters, being played from Thursday until Sunday. The tournament is renowned for its heritage, illustrious winners and majestic alpine views. OMEGA has been the title sponsor since 2001 and is fulfilling the role in 2022 for the 21st time.
