HE Dr Mohammed Salim Al Olama, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), emphasised that the UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has proved its excellence in the field of humanitarian action and sustainable giving.
Speaking on the occasion of World Humanitarian Day, Al Olama said: "The UAE has always been keen to sow the seeds of giving and philanthropy and been exceptionally able to make remarkable achievements in the field of humanitarian action. The UAE has rightfully risen to the top of regional and global philanthropists thanks to its humanitarian programs intended to aid the needy all over the world.”
“Humanitarian action has become a constant approach and an integral part of the UAE’s moral obligation towards the less fortunate peoples, and is also one of the country’s guiding principles for the next fifty years. Through this approach, the UAE seeks to establish a system of sustainable humanitarian work”.
He stated that the UAE’s humanitarian imprint can be seen everywhere in the world as the country has always been keen to offer comprehensive humanitarian care services to those in need wherever they are, by Emirati people who are proudly offering support and assistance to all those in need.
The UAE will remain a global role model for unlimited humanitarian giving, so it can justifiably and rightfully be proud of its history, which is full of honorable human stances. Such a rich history will remain a great legacy that we pass down from generation to generation, Al Olama further said.
