SHALL WE?
INTRODUCING SHALL WE? - THE FIRST MAX&Co. &Co.LLABORATION
SUMMER CAPSULE WITH MARGHERITA MACCAPANI MISSONI
For SS22, MAX&Co. debuts the first of its new &Co.llaboration design partnerships. The project kicks off with a capsule, titled Shall We?, to be designed in partnership with Margherita Maccapani Missoni.
The 35-piece capsule is a celebration of the joy of getting dressed and the ultimate downtime wardrobe. Modern, fresh and free, the collection is defined by its original styling. It’s all about putting outfits together in an unexpected way: a scarf as a top, a parka as a dress, a blazer with nothing underneath. Versatile pieces transition from holiday to home with liberated ease. Embroidered cardigans would look as good shrugged over a bikini as they would with tailored trousers; swishy sundresses are an obvious win with sandals and a basket bag but would look equally good with ankle boots and a jacket in cooler climes.
Margherita Maccapani Missoni looked to the MAX&Co. ’90s archives and catalogues for inspiration. The decade’s clean-lined ease is seen throughout. Daisies – ‘Margherita’ in Italian, a tongue-in-cheek nod to the designer’s name – are symbolic of simple pleasures and capture the spirit of the capsule. They are found across the Shall We? collection as embroideries, appliqués and prints.
“Shall We? is my motto: a light and joyful approach to fashion that also captures an anything-is-possible attitude in life”.
The &Co.llaboration capsules will be an ongoing part of the MAX&Co. story, where friends of the brand – from established names to emerging talents – are invited to collaborate on capsules, putting their own spin on the house’s distinct codes.
The collection will be available online and in store starting from February 2022.
