Efforts by Dubai Municipality to secure 2022 New Year Celebrations

Health and Safety:
1. Work Team
More than 102 inspectors and supervisors inside the celebration areas
More than 100 other inspectors and supervisors outside the celebration areas

3. Coverage
Covered more than 272 square kilometers at a rate of 100 % within the various activities that included 23 sites. It included activities and related establishments such as shopping malls, games and events areas, food establishments, hotels, shisha cafes, parks, beaches and their jogging tracks, and others.
Waste:
1. Working Team
Dubai Municipality arranged an integrated team of various disciplines consisting of 605 Municipality cleaners and 62 employees from the supervisory body, in addition to 341 workers and volunteers from private sector companies and establishments, with the aim of immediately following up the cleaning of event sites.
2. Amount of waste
Amount of waste collected and transported from and around the main celebration sites amounted to more than 15 tons of general waste.
3. Sites
The areas surrounding the Burj Khalifa, public beaches and streets leading to the celebration sites were covered, in addition to Sheikh Zayed Road, Expo Street, Business Bay Street, Al Khail Street, Dubai Frame site, Al Seef Street, and a number of adjacent sites close to the celebration venues, Al Qudra Lakes and Love Lake, which are popular with the public.
4. Complaints
13 complaints were addressed during the celebration period regarding the accumulation of waste
5. Means of Waste Storage
109 additional waste containers of different sizes were distributed in the most crowded areas, number of sand sweepers were provided to clean the main roads
6. Equipment
61 vehicles and equipment providing for follow-up cleaning activities.
