Dubai, UAE - November 29, 2021: Preparations are currently underway for the awards ceremony of the 11th cycle of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (MRM) Business Award, the 3rd cycle of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Innovation Award, and the 1st cycle of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Customer Excellence Award, Dubai Chamber announced today.
The prestigious awards ceremony will be held at Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo 2020 Dubai on December 9th 2021 under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The high-profile event will be attended by dignitaries, distinguished local and international top executives, and business leaders. The ceremony will recognise companies in the region that demonstrated outstanding business practices and performance in business, innovation and customer excellence.
The three awards were revealed during the MRM Conference, entitled The Experience Economy: Delivering an Unparalleled Customer Experience for Long Term Growth, which examined the evolving customer experiences in the digital age and featured several informative presentations from industry experts covering best practices and effective strategies for improving customer retention and loyalty, as well as key consumer trends and case studies from companies that have seen success in this area.
During the assessment phase for the awards, applicants underwent a rigorous evaluation process where they were assessed in key areas of organisational performance such as Customer, Innovation, Strategy, Leadership, among others. Applicants’ business, innovation and customer oriented practices and results were evaluated based on the criteria outlined in the MRM Business Performance Model.
Following the assessment phase, outstanding organisations that have a performance-based system in place that ensures progressive development are shortlisted as award winners by the Award Panel of Judges.
The MRM Business Award, a member of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, initiated in 2005 and is an intensive qualification initiative for businesses aiming to implement cutting edge international business best practices to boost performance and ultimately become leading players in the national and international business arena.
The MRM Business Innovation Award, launched by Dubai Chamber in cooperation with the UAE Ministry of Economy, aims to encourage companies across the GCC to embrace innovation, and serves as a distinctive benchmark for measuring innovation excellence. The award places a strategic focus on transforming business models to meet current and future challenges and manage risks.
The MRM Customer Excellence Award, launched by Dubai Chamber in 2019, aims to recognize the efforts of the UAE and GCC companies that provide a rich experience for all their customers and the innovations and strategies they adopt that focus on creating value and improving the overall customer experience.
The three awards cover several categories, namely finance, services, construction, trade, re-export, transport and logistics, and manufacturing.
