Variety of Virtual Seminars and Workshops at Dubai International Food Safety Conference 2021

Dubai, 21 November 2021:  The Dubai International Food Safety Conference 2021, organized by Dubai Municipality, witnessed the presentation of a variety of virtual seminars and workshops, with the participation of a group of prominent speakers from all over the world, including experts, specialists and researchers in the fields of food safety, food security and nutrition. 

These seminars and workshops aimed to shed light on everything related to the field of food, as the conference was held in its 15th session this year under the slogan, “Creative solutions for sustainable food systems.”

Several international, regional and local bodies presented a series of seminars and workshops, such as the “New Era of Smarter Food System” workshop presented by the US Food and Drug Agency, which focused on the effective role of smart food systems in improving the business sector of food establishments and companies. Dubai Digital Authority presented the most prominent investor experiences in the food business sector in Dubai. 

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations presented a symposium on sustainable food systems, during which it discussed the concepts of food sustainability from a global perspective.

The conference’s seminars and workshops also addressed the most prominent solutions aimed at protecting food from damage, in addition to reviewing new trends in food manufacturing and ways to enhance the flow of food trade, through the development and harmonization of food specifications. 

The workshops also presented the latest methods of inspection and laboratory examination of food and proposed innovative solutions to safety challenges, emphasizing the importance of developing policies to enable the food sector, and also reviewed solutions to enhance food security. 

The workshops also showcased the most prominent practices in managing food systems, the use of modern technologies and digitization in this field, the effectiveness of training, empowerment and consumer awareness, and strengthening the leadership role in leading change in the field of food safety.
