Ajman University Community Marks UAE Flag Day

Ajman, United Arab Emirates, November 3rd, 2021: On the occasion of the UAE Flag Day on Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021, Ajman University marked the UAE Flag Day with enthusiasm and traditional national fervor by raising the national flags during a ceremony organized outdoor in front of Sheikh Zayed Center at Ajman University campus.
During the event AU Chancellor Dr. Karim Seghir raised the big UAE flag at 11:00 AM. Observing all theanti-Covid-19 precautionary measures, the AU chancellor, cabinet members, deans and staff, proudly saluted the UAE flag while chanting the national anthem.
The Flag Day is celebrated on November 3 every year to mark the accession of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. It is a national occasion where people of the UAE remember the efforts of the founders of the country, including the Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, and other leaders for their sacrifice and contribution towards establishing the UAE.
It is worth mentioning that the UAE National Flag, which represents UAE citizens and the values such as dignity, pride, achievement, safety, peace, and happiness, is used at all national events, as well as religious, social, sporting and other occasions, internally and externally. The UAE National flags – a symbol of pride, loyalty and belonging for both Emiratis and expats.
