Abu Dhabi University Signs an MoU with Tractebel

Abu Dhabi, UAE, 3 November 2021: Abu Dhabi University (ADU), a leading globally recognized multi-campus private university, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Tractebel Engineering Consultancy LLC. The partnership aims to strengthen academic cooperation between both entities and leverage scientific expertise across fields.
The MoU signing was held at ADU's Abu Dhabi campus in the presence of Professor Waqar Ahmad, Chancellor of ADU, Mostafa El Safty, Head of BD Nuclear in the Middle East, Thomas Palix, Regional Manager of Tractebel Middle East, and Dr. Nisreen Alwan, Acting Dean of the College of Health Sciences, as well as faculty from the college.
In line with the UAE's Peaceful Nuclear Energy Program, ADU and Tractebel's partnership will support the advancement of the nuclear sector in the UAE through collaborative research and development. In addition, Tractebel will conduct seminars and events to support existing engineering educational programs, such as nuclear waste processing plants.
The MoU highlights opportunities for both parties to engage in training workshops and academic programs, develop joint facilities, and nurture the skills needed to tackle issues and matters of nuclear energy in the UAE.
Professor Waqar Ahmad, Chancellor of ADU, said," ADU is proud to announce another collaboration with a reputable organization to elevate our student experience and further develop the nuclear energy sector in the UAE. Mostafa El Safty, Tractebel's Head of BD Nuclear in the Middle East, said, "This MoU is an important milestone. At Tracetebel, we understand the importance of knowledge transfer to prepare the new Emirati generation to venture into the nuclear field."
