Entering into its third year of production, the 2021 Nissan Altima introduces its segment-first ProPILOT technology in its high-end SL grade, adding to the comprehensive list of Nissan Intelligent Mobility features. ProPILOT is a revolutionary technology designed for different driving conditions, with dynamic driver assistance systems that reduce the amount of acceleration, steering and braking input, thereby easing driver fatigue. The system rounds off its support through gentle road curves and ‘glide-with-ease’ parking capabilities.

Combining Nissan’s Intelligent Cruise Control and Steering Assist technologies, ProPILOT can slow the vehicle to a complete stop and hold the vehicle during traffic jam conditions. The technology utilizes a forward-facing camera, forward-facing radar, sensors and an electronic control module to help drivers stay in the center of a driving lane, maintain vehicle speeds, and maintain a gap to the preceding vehicle if it slows down below the set speed.

Customers visiting the Nissan showroom in Deira, can try their hand at the Nissan Altima ProPILOT Buzz Wire activation. Customers are invited to test their skill at threading a buzz wire through the shape of a car with an interesting twist. On a parallel screen, a 30 second video illustrating ProPILOT technology is played and the aim is to complete the game before the video ends.
