Book of Dreams: An Awe-Inspiring Educational Play is Rapturing Audiences at SCRF 2021

Debut staging of Sharjah Book Authority’s first original production for Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival sold out  

Sharjah, May 29, 2021:  Visitors to the 12th edition of the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival (SCRF) were completely smitten by the ‘Book of Dreams’ show staged on Thursday evening. Produced by Sharjah Book Authority (SBA), the play is for all age groups and highlights the value of books and the impact of reading on changing realities and fulfilling dreams and aspirations.

Translating the festival’s theme ‘For Your Imagination’, the performance ignited the imagination, particularly of the young audience, and underscored book’s role in achieving goals and dreams. The actors took the audience on a joyful journey of lyrical narrative and expressive acting.

Starring Hiba Al Darri, Mohammed Al Muslim, Nasser Abbas, Fahad Al Saleh, Dima Ahmed, Ghrour Safar, Jana Al Failkawi and Ahmed bin Hussein, this 90-minute play follows a young girl who participates in various competitions to win books to fill her library with quality books. On this journey, she gets her hands onto the book of dreams, unlocking a world of knowledge, imagination, and great big adventures.
