Dubai Municipality wins Middle East and North Africa Stevie® Awards

United Arab Emirates - April 06, 2021: Dubai Municipality, represented by its Corporate Marketing and Relations Department, has won three categories of awards in the Middle East & North Africa Stevie® Awards, which highlight innovation in all its forms in various professional achievements. The Stevie® Award is considered one of the most prominent awards globally.
Hajar Al Ketbi, Director of Corporate Marketing and Relations Department at Dubai Municipality, said: “By participating in the international awards, we seek to embody the vision of the wise leadership towards strengthening the unique position that Dubai occupies globally, which has become an example for development, progress and achievement. The exceptional efforts of all the Municipality's teams, through the means of media and marketing, are an integral part of embodying the values of competitiveness and working in the spirit of one team to reach the various strategic goals.”
Muna Al Dhahiri, Manager of the Media Section at Dubai Municipality, added: “We have been keen, through our media teams, to keep pace with all efforts made by the Municipality's teams in its various fields and sectors. We have formed a special team to respond to all inquiries of the public through social media sites. In addition to that we take utmost care in presenting the media content in a creative, innovative and modern way, which contributed to empowering the media team in Dubai Municipality to be a distinctive link between the Municipality and the various media channels.”
Rayan Al Hammadi, Manager of Marketing Section at Dubai Municipality, said: “The marketing team of Dubai Municipality has contributed to crystallizing the exceptional efforts of the various sectors of the Municipality, through excellent cooperation with various entities such as Emaar and Meraas, with the aim of enhancing the marketing content of the Municipality to different segments of the society. This constituted a milestone in highlighting the efforts of Dubai Municipality teams in the finest means.”
Dubai Municipality won the Gold Award in the category of "Managing the content of social media channels during the Covid-19 pandemic," as Municipality aims, through social media platforms, to disseminate news, statistics and advices to all categories of the community and raise their level of awareness, in addition to highlighting the Municipality's efforts and procedures related to combating the pandemic, by publishing the content in a varied and distinctive manner.
Dubai Municipality also won the Gold Award for the “Innovation in Media Planning and Management” category, through the “FoodWatch Campaign,” which provides multiple advantages in the field of food safety and nutrition, as it forms a link for all stakeholders, products and processes through a reliable digital network that facilitates streamlining of work and activities among all partners, which reduces costs by avoiding the repetition of many processes and recording all required data on a unified platform.
The Municipality also won the bronze award for the category of “Innovation in Marketing through Social Media,” through the “Montaji Campaign,” which is a smart application that enables the ability to verify the validity of information and the safety of consumer products and their conformity with the approved standards by simply scanning the barcode of the product or searching the name of the product.
Through participation in the international awards, Dubai Municipality aims to embody the vision of the wise leadership towards promoting the principles of excellence and leadership in various fields, as well as the contribution of these awards to raising the standards of excellence, innovation and competitiveness, which is positively reflected in the achievement of the Municipality's strategic goals.
