Marina Rinaldi – Pre-Fall 2020 “Call Me”
Last Update: Thursday, October 15, 2020 : 11:57 (+4GMT)
United Arab Emirates, October 15, 2020: The new season for Marina Rinaldi opens with a tribute to Debbie Harry, one of the most iconic and innovative protagonists of the international music scene who left a strong impression on the sound and style of the 1970s and 1980s at the helm of the group Blondie.
Her autobiography FACE IT was published In October 2019, the portrait of a brave, beautiful woman “born to be punk” who faced many difficulties with an unwavering optimism and sense of humour, and whose grit has transformed her into a character capable of surviving time and fashion, source of inspiration for many women today.
Marina Rinaldi's pre-fall collection recreates the glamorous underground atmosphere of Debbie Harry's début.
The colour palette is reduced to the essential: black and white dominate, for bold, sophisticated graphics intermingled with total black outfits.
Flashes of fuchsia and animalier details blend with the transparencies and see-through effects of mesh, a contemporary interpretation of the canons of the punk look.
The selection is extensive, ranging from formal daytime apparel rich in jackets with impeccable tailoring to the more relaxed line of bombers and blousons, T-shirts and jersey jumpers. Then there's the evening line that's illuminated by metallic effects and crystal appliqués on long jackets, tops and accessories.
The pre-fall 2020 collection will be available in Marina Rinaldi stores and online from mid-July.
