its commitment to construction workers under the Community Solidarity Fund against Covid-19
Dubai, UAE: In celebration of International Workers Day and as commitment to its social responsibility, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry honored its support staff, in recognition of their vital role in ensuring a clean and safe environment for employees and customers of the Chamber.
For the 12th year, in a row, the Chamber gave financial rewards to the support staff to encourage them morally and financially. This reflects the Chamber's commitment to appreciating its unknown heroes, who are considered an essential part of the Chamber's efforts to support the business community.
This appreciation is consistent with the spirituality of the holy month of Ramadan and the human values that characterize Emirati society. It also highlights the Dubai Chamber’s commitment to supporting businesses through the Community Solidarity Fund against Coved-19, and its leadership of the private sector’s efforts to assist construction and real estate projects workers to return to their countries after completing their duties.
This shows the commitment that the Chamber has towards supporting the private sector, especially the workers who need support during this challenging time.
Dubai Chamber has worked in coordination with the relevant government agencies to develop an integrated action plan to support construction and real estate workers who have completed work on their projects, and have no financial means to return to their countries, especially with the closure of many airports around the world and flight cancellations.
The issue of these workers has economic, social and health dimensions. Therefore, the Chamber is keen to support workers in this sector and alleviate their concerns, along with their logistical and humanitarian requirements, in line with the Chamber's mission to represent, support and protect the interests of the business community in the emirate.
