Dubai, United Arab Emirates, January 26, 2020:   Responsible design is the inspired concept behind the new Salvatore Ferragamo sunglasses crafted with a state-of-the-art plant-based material that ensures minimal environmental impact while also providing for durability, resistance and improved lightness. 

The oversized frame has a feminine butterfly shape that is skillfully molded with a special bio-based injected plastic, made from castor bean oil, a highly resilient and renewable alternative to standard petroleum-based plastics. This innovative construction combines a rounded front profile with wide temples featuring the iconic Gancini-shape detail in a gold finish. The luminous metal embellishments balance the frame’s intense shades and blurred effects to deliver an alluring contrast to the vintage-inspired silhouette.
