Dubai, UAE, October 04, 2018: To mark the occasion of Breast Cancer Awareness month, homegrown salon and spa chain Tips & Toes has partnered with renowned hair extension experts M.E.F to help raise the spirits of nine brave breast cancer patients in the UAE. The talented hair team – under the direction of Hair Artistic Director, Cat Hawkes – custom cut and styled the wigs to boost the confidence of sufferers who have lost their locks after enduring life-saving chemotherapy treatment.
“At Tips & Toes, we are passionate about making our customers not only look good, but also feel good, so we couldn’t think of a more deserving group of ladies to support along their long road to recovery,” says Cat Hawkes, Hair Artistic Director, Tips & Toes. “We are grateful to M.E.F for generously donating these wigs so we can hopefully offer an injection of confidence and morale boost to these lovely ladies.”
After an initial consultation to find out exactly what was needed to achieve the desired style for each recipient, Cat and her team carefully cut and sculpted the wigs to offer the most natural and flawless finish.
“As women it’s so important that we stick together, and boost each other’s confidence through small gestures and kindness, as you really never know what someone is going through,” says Cat. “While it may seem that we have helped these beautiful ladies, I would argue that they have helped us more, by teaching us the true meaning of determination, drive and resilience – they are a huge inspiration.”
With 35 branches located across four emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Tips & Toes is the UAE’s largest and most successful salon and spa chain. From employing the most talented technicians and therapists to providing ongoing training at its in-house training academies, Tips & Toes is committed to delivering five-star service and spa treatments at prices that are accessible to all.
