Enjoy Going Back to School with The Mall at World Trade Center Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, 27 August 2018 :   With the community at the heart of everything it does, The Mall at World Trade Center (The Mall at WTCAD) is launching its Back To School campaign with a book collection and charity sale, special book readings plus a spectacular Spend&Win competition to win AED 25,000 in  school tuition fees .

 

Bringing back its popular Spend & Win competition, The Mall at WTCAD is helping one lucky set of parents go back to school for FREE! Anyone who spends 200 AED at The Mall at WTCAD between 19th August – 8th September can enter to win the remarkable prize of having their children’s 2018/2019 school tuition fees paid, worth up to a staggering AED 25,000. 

 

Partnering with literacy charity “Wanna Read” from 7 August - 4th September, The Mall at WTCAD will place themed collection boxes around the mall to start their annual charity book drive, encouraging visitors to give the gift of giving and sharing by asking them to donate their favourite books. These books will then be sold for charity in The Mall at WTCAD’s Book Fair from 6th-8th September. 

 

Last year the Book Fair was exceptionally popular, with over 2,000 collected books being sold in 2 hours alone. This year, as well as selling the collected books, the Book Fair will also include exclusive book readings from award-winning children’s author Dr. Michele Ziolkowski, whose book ‘The Boy Who Knew the Mountains’ was inspired by her son.

 

As part of The Mall at WTCAD’s continual corporate social responsibility, all proceeds from the book sale will go to “Wanna Read?”, who will use the funds to operate their 16 reading rooms for children in hospitals across the UAE. The charity, led by H.H Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, uses art and book readings to brighten up the days of children spending time in hospital.
