Dubai, UAE, August 19, 2018: Hyundai’s New-generation Santa Fe is set to arrive in Africa and Middle East markets in September, setting a new benchmark in Hyundai’s SUV line-up, and offering customers outstanding design, the latest safety features, and a great value-for-money ratio. It will build on Hyundai’s strong SUV heritage, developed through successive generations since the launch of the first Santa Fe in 2000.
The fourth generation Santa Fe is expected to attract more customers with its premium design, more space and advanced technology. It is Hyundai’s flagship SUV, offering remarkable roominess and innovative comfort features that enhance the customer’s daily life.
“This latest, all-new version of the Santa Fe will continue the model’s long success story globally, an in markets across our region,” said Mike Song, Hyundai’s Head of Operations for Africa and the Middle East. “The Santa Fe is an iconic model for Hyundai, and the foundation of our reputation across the SUV segment.
The fourth generation immediately sets a new standard in in the market, for technology, for safety, and for comfort.”
First revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in March, the design of the Santa Fe connects with Hyundai’s new SUV family look. It displays a modern and prestigious appearance, complemented by the eye-catching Composite Light and the Cascading Grille. The exterior design is characterized by a powerful, wide stance and an athletic, bold look. Its refined lines reinforce the car’s status at the top of Hyundai’s SUV line-up.
Africa and Middle East versions will offer a choice of petrol and diesel engines: 2.2 turbo-diesel, 2.4 GDI petrol, or 3.5 MPI petrol, and either a 6-speed or 8-speed automatic transmission, depending on the individual market. The optional advanced four-wheel drive system, which controls the torque distribution and braking power of the front and rear wheels variably, offers improved grip on all surfaces and enhancing stability in cornering.
Santa Fe offers one of the best-in-class safety packages and industry-first safety features, all part of the Hyundai SmartSense active safety and driving assistance technologies. The Santa Fe also features Hyundai’s new full head-up display that projects relevant driving and safety information directly onto the windshield, keeping the driver’s attention on the road ahead.
Multiple connectivity features include the optional 8-inch infotainment system that integrates all navigation, media and connectivity features, supporting both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Display Audio function allows passengers to switch their smartphone’s content onto the system’s 7-inch display via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
