Ebtikar achieves GSMA Security Accreditation

Abu Dhabi 4 August 2018:   Ebtikar Card Systems, an Etisalat Group subsidiary, announced that its advanced production center in Ajman renewed Security Accreditation Scheme (SAS) certification from the global organization ‘Global System for Mobile Communications’ (GSMA).

GSMA SAS qualification is the highest standard of safety and data protection in smart card industry. Currently, there are 30 SAS certified companies worldwide. Ebtikar remains one of the very few companies to have a facility with the demanding and state-of-the-art SAS security certification in the Middle East. This certification validates that Ebtikar’s UICC card production and personalization processes, as well as its entire site operations meet the GSMA's stringent standards for security and data protection.
