Dubai, July 15, 2018:  The Dubai Camel Racing Club, a pioneering and leading sports establishment, has honoured Al Tayer Motors, one of the UAE's premier automobile dealerships, for its support to the 2017-18 racing season as a platinum sponsor.

Al Tayer Motors and Land Rover have been long-term supporters of camel racing as a sport and the Dubai Camel Racing Club for many years, as it is one of the UAE's traditional sports.

The award was presented at the Al Tayer Motors Land Rover showroom on Sheikh Zayed Road.

Speaking during the presentation, Abdulla Ahmad Faraj, Director of Marketing, Partnerships & Events said, “The strong partnership that has been created between Dubai Camel Racing Club (DCRC) and Al Tayer Motors is in harmony and in line with the club's future trends and vision. Our ambitions meet and match the future aspirations that could enhance and uphold the quality of services throughout the major races and events, through the exchange of experiences utilizing and using the latest inventions that could result in innovative effective solutions in collaboration with our events' sponsors from the private and public sector. We at the Dubai Camel Racing Club, are very much appreciate. Al Tayer Motors for their invaluable sponsorship and support for Al Marmoom Heritage Festival for Camels, over the previous years, and moreover, their continue supporting and sponsoring this heritage festival has had an immense impact and made all the events a big success, as camel racing heritage sport is considered to be the first popular heritage sport in the UAE and the Arabian Gulf.”

In the Year of Zayed, it is important to remember the priorities of the founding father of the UAE, the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who was very keen on preserving and maintaining the traditions of the UAE as a legacy for future generations.

“Al Tayer Motors is proud of the UAE's cultural and sporting traditions and we strongly believe in preserving this link to the country's heritage. As the UAE grows in stature internationally, we must not forget the traditions, values and sports, which have made the UAE the strong and prosperous nation that it is today,” said Talal Merheb, Senior Vice-President Jaguar Land Rover Sales, Al Tayer Motors.

Al Tayer Motors has a long history of supporting sporting events in the UAE including horse racing, horse and camel endurance races, Jiu-Jitsu, traditional sports including falconry, hunting, archery, Al Youla, football, tennis, golf and polo to name a few.
