Last Update: Sunday, July 1, 2018 : 12:11 (+4GMT)
Over 35 students, from 20 different nationalities competed across 10 varied categories
United Arab Emirates, Dubai, 1st July 2018: Horizon International hosted - ‘Horizon’s Got Talent’ show at the school Auditorium.
Children of multiple nationalities from years 4-10 took to stage to display some spectacular performances. Over 35 students competed in varied categories including Music, Dance, Drama, Comedy and Magic.
The aim in organising the event was in alignment with Horizon's vision of an inclusive, diverse school where growth mindset and high standards are non-negotiable. While such events enrich the curriculum and help develop the ‘holistic growth of the child', the Expressive Arts teach students the value of creativity, problem solving and teamwork.
The winners were the outstanding group 'Dance Force' consisting of Mia Di Notaris, Ninah Jordan and Maya Alhinawa. The second place was awarded to Sammara Audi and Jessie-Grace Burnett with their dance and drama piece 'Mini-Me’, whereas the third-place act was a fusion of Art and Comedy from year 6 student Imaan Mirza.
The event was an incredible experience for the students to muster courage and perform in front of an audience. Horizon is confident that all students competing will come back even bigger and better with their acts for Horizon's Got Talent 2019.
