The Department was hailed for its regular inspection campaigns, seizure of fake goods, counterfeit products and actions taken as per the law, thereby securing the consumer markets in Ajman.
Majed Al Suwaidi, Director of the Customer Relations Department of DED-Ajman thanked Tamimi & Co. and Louis Vuitton for the appreciation, underscoring DED-Ajman’s commitment to including its departments and divisions in ensuring the safety of goods in the outlets and shopping centers and their compliance with quality standards. Al-Suwaidi added: “The Department is working on intensifying inspection and monitoring campaigns in an organized and planned manner throughout the markets of Ajman, based on a comprehensive and integrated field plan devised by a team of qualified inspectors from the Directorate of Control and Consumer Protection, which reflects DED’s keenness to detect and combat all manifestations of commercial fraud and reduce instances of malpractices by some traders.”

During its visit to DED-Ajman’s headquarters in the Corniche Building, the business groups awarded a trophy to the Department, commending on the remarkable preventive measures taken by the Department to protect consumers rights and globally known luxury brands through its efforts in seizing imitation products, which helped reduce commercial fraud.
