Alpen Capital's Global Fusion concert showcases a mesmerizing union of different musical genres

Dubai, January 31, 2018: Alpen Capital and Alpen Asset Advisors hosted the 14th edition of the hugely-popular annual musical concert Global Fusion on 27th January, 2018, at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai. This year’s Global Fusion concept was themed around “Wind”, one of the five basic elements of nature which has been musically interpreted since time immemorial. The concept symbolised the role of Wind in creating music with the help of talented artistes from six different countries.
The Global Fusion concert was led by Rakesh Chaurasia from India on the Bamboo flute. Mr. Chaurasia is the nephew and child prodigy of flute maestro Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia. In addition, the concert also featured Karsh Kale, the visionary composer and percussionist from the USA on table, drums and Keyboards, Max ZT on the Hammered Dulcimer, also from the USA, Rhythm Shaw from India on the Guitar, Artur Grigoryan from Armenia on the Saxophone, famed Sri Lankan percussionist, Rakitha Wickramaratne and Nubia Santos from Brazil with a mesmerizing Samba performance. Joining them was the incredible talent from the UAE, Emirati child artiste, Mira Ghobash, playing the violin.
Over the years, Global Fusion has become one of the most sought after events in the UAE’s social calendar, bringing together renowned names of World music to create an unparalleled musical experience for Alpen Capital’s clients. The concert is also known for highlighting talented UAE national artistes and providing them with an opportunity to perform with leading international artistes.
