Data has become the biggest commodity in this age of digital transformation and securing this data has become paramount importance for everyone whether it’s an individual user, corporate or even government users.
The loss of sensitive data and information can have long lasting ramifications leading to significant financial losses, penalties and reputational damage. The Data Privacy Day was first launched in 1981 as Data Protection Day on January 28th to remind us the importance of privacy and security online. Awareness about protecting our data is crucial frontline defence and first step for building security consciousness.
On the occasion of Data Privacy Day Dimitris Raekos, General Manager at ESET Middle East explained that ‘being one of the leading cyber security solutions providers, ESET in Middle East has been in the forefront of leading any campaign that can ensure data protection.”
“This year to commemorate the Data Privacy Day, we have rolled out a special promotion and are offering 6 months of additional protection on our selected products for free” said Raekos.
ESET Middle East will be running a month long promotional campaign from 28th January 2018 to 28th February 2018 that will include ESET Endpoint Encryption for data encryption, ESET Secure Authentication for two-factor authentication, Safetica for data loss prevention and Xopero for backup and data recovery.
“We are glad to be part of this moment and this month long promotional campaign in a way is our contribution towards celebrating the Data Privacy Day. We are confident this day will go a long way in raising the bar for data protection and also our promotion will enable more users to enjoy the benefits of data protection and cyber security,” concluded Raekos.
