Rory McIlroy and Sergio Garcia tee off at the 2018 OMEGA Dubai Desert Classic

Dubai, 25th January, 2018:  OMEGA ambassadors, Sergio Garcia and Rory McIlroy, have teed off on a gloriously sunny day at the Emirates Golf Club in Dubai to get the 29th edition of the OMEGA Dubai Desert Classic underway. 

While the current and defending champion Sergio Garcia will be looking to earn his second win at the tournament, the Northern Irishman, Rory McIlroy, will also be looking to reclaim the trophy, which he lifted in 2015. 

The OMEGA Dubai Desert Classic, a part of the European Tour, is considered the top professional golfing tournament in the Middle East and in recent years has risen to become a widely recognised and reputed tournament on the world circuit.
