Dubai, United Arab Emirates, January 7, 2018: PAN Emirates Home Furnishings, a local label in luxurious indoor, patio and outdoor furniture that is sure to light up any living space, takes joy in informing consumers that it will not be marking up its affordable luxury items with the 5% VAT tax. The legislation of the 5% surcharge will come into effect on 1st January 2018, affecting all goods and services at varying degrees in the coming year.
PAN Emirates will neither mark up prices for its current collections, nor make the tax effective on collections to come. Instead, driven to provide a great shopping experience, PAN Emirates will be completely absorbing the 5% charge implemented by the Government.
Mr. Mohammadi Katawala – Deputy Manager and Group Finance Director, PAN Emirates Home Furnishing, said, “As a customer-centric chain, we believe that it is in the benefit of our buyers for us to absorb the VAT usually transferred to the buyer, without marking up our prices. We don’t want to dissuade customers from purchasing essentials as well as luxury goods from PAN Emirates because of VAT, and for this we are happy to bear this cost ourselves. Despite the exorbitant cost of living, we believe that some things are classic, as should stay that way.”
As cost of living is expected to soar in the coming year in the UAE, PAN Emirates promises a comfortable, VAT-free shopping experience providing the best luxury interiors to its customers in the year to come. The rates of all collections in 2017 will be carried forward to 2018 as they are, to ensure that those who are loyal to he brand can create the living spaces dreams are made of, with no extra cost!
