Abu Dhabi, 20 August 2017: Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Center (ADSIC), the government entity in charge of developing the UAE capital’s dynamic ICT sector, reached an 80% Emiratization rate during the second quarter of this year, despite challenges in drawing and substituting specialized jobs in Information Technology and Communications.
The high rates of Emiratization at ADSIC come as part of a comprehensive long-term plan which was developed by the Center in order to contribute to the UAE’s national strategy and objectives for Emiratization, as a fully-integrated matrix of talents were mapped out for all jobs in order to empower and attract national human capital.
Commenting on the occasion, Mrs. Fatma Hamad Al Hamli, Executive Director of Support Services at ADSIC said, “We are proud of the high levels of Emiratization that we managed to reach during the second quarter of this year across all departments and specializations throughout ADSIC. These rates reflect our continual efforts to empower both male and female local talent through different job and career opportunities, in light of a carefully-planned and approved strategy to support the Abu Dhabi Plan and national objectives.”
Mrs. Al Hamli added, “Increasing levels of Emiratization and further boosting national human resources has always been a strategic priority and focus area for ADSIC, and we will continue to strengthen and improve our development and training programs while creating job streams for our various operations and activities.
As part of ADSIC’s process, the Center identified critical and specialized jobs as part of a business continuity plan, followed by the identification of future prospective employees and coupled by ongoing supervision and follow up to gauge the readiness of Emiratis entering the job market.
