‘Dubai Culture' Hosts Focus Group for Enhancing Culture and Arts Support Services

Services enhancement team meets with six government entities to learn from their ideas and suggestions for upgrading the Authority’s support services

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 04 July 2017: Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the Emirate’s dedicated entity for culture, arts and heritage, has hosted a focus group aimed at enhancing its culture and arts support services. The meeting was held in the presence of a number of Dubai Culture’s stakeholders and was led by the Authority’s internal services enhancement team, which drew opinions, ideas and observations from the participants on improving client services. 

The focus group is one of the requirements of the ‘Dubai Model for Government Services’ launched by The Executive Council, and included a presentation which explained the services provided by the Authority both inside and outside of the UAE. As a result of the discussions, the six parties in attendance registered 15 points, which focused on improving the Authority’s services as part of its continuous efforts to support and further the main objectives of the Dubai 2021 Plan.

Khalil Abdulwahid, Manager of Arts Section at Dubai Culture, commented: “We at Dubai Culture always strive to improve our cultural and artistic services, and we will be working hard to address the observations and implement the effective ideas that were discussed. Focus groups like this are essential for driving our progress; they allow customers and end users to discuss ways for improving and developing our services from their own perspective. The meeting provided an ideal environment for cooperation among the parties in attendance.”

Such meetings contribute to achieving many of Dubai Culture’s strategic objectives, including raising the level of customer happiness, generating transparent dialogues and discussion, identifying appropriate solutions, and discussing ways of applying them to the Authority's operations. The focus group received the full support of the participants, who were pleased to contribute and expressed their willingness to attend similar events in the future.

Dubai Culture aims to enhance Dubai’s cultural scene and draw attention to the Emirate’s rich heritage with a variety of initiatives that take place throughout the year. The Authority’s mandate is to build bridges of constructive dialogue between different civilisations and cultures through enriching initiatives that benefit the Emirate’s citizens, residents and visitors.
