Leading Analyst Firm Data Shows Fortinet Increases Sales Momentum and Continues to Deliver More Security Appliances Than Any Other Vendor
Dubai, UAE, July 3, 2017: Fortinet® (NASDAQ: FTNT), the global leader in high-performance cybersecurity solutions, today announced the results from International Data Corporation’s (IDC) latest Worldwide Quarterly Security Appliance Tracker. The 2017Q1 and historical report data reinforces Fortinet’s continued leadership within the security industry by consistently shipping the most security appliances in the industry and demonstrating double-digit revenue growth. The market snapshot highlights Fortinet as the fastest growing major Security Appliance vendor.

The IDC tracker details indicate that Fortinet realized 21% revenue growth in security appliance year-over-year, far outpacing the industry average of 9%. Fortinet also saw first quarter 2017 appliance shipments increase by 30% year-over-year, earning 27% unit market share for the quarter. Fortinet has shipped more units in 2017 than the next two competitors combined and widens its unit market share leadership by an additional 4% since the 2016Q4 tracker was published.
