Design International Honoured with ‘Designer of The Year' - Special Commendation

A night to remember at the elegant Palazzo Versace Hotel, Dubai.

Dubai, UAE, June 4, 2017:  They say good things happen when you least expect it, and this year’s RLI Awards was just that for architecture practice, Design International. 

500 guests waited in suspense at the charming Palazzo Versace Hotel, Dubai, as the winners of each category were slowly unveiled, one by one. The ceremony, now in its twelfth year, brings together the top industry leaders within retail and leisure. 

Having won a series of accolades for a number of projects over the years, the ‘Designer of the Year’ special commendation award adds the finishing touches to a story the company have been telling the world through their designs and their commitment to innovative architecture. Each project has a purpose, narrative and character, and combined has earned the architecture practice this prestigious award for the third time, with the first being in 2013, then again in 2014. 

Upon receiving the award, Davide Padoa said, “It is a pleasure to see that the judges of the RLI Awards recognise our brand for the unique character of each project that we undertake. Tonight I have been told that we distinguish ourselves because we always surprise and push boundaries. It was nice to hear that and I want to take this opportunity to thank both our clients, for the trust they put in our firm, and our architects and designers, for the passion they channel in every project”.

This award is extremely important for the architecture practice, being recognised for their commitment to innovation and forward thinking designs, and is a true reflection of the hard work and dedication of each and every individual.
