Dubai, April 24, 2017 – Josh McDermitt, the TV star best known for playing Eugene Porter in the FOX series The Walking Dead, had a memorable experience visiting Dubai’s best landmarks and famed hospitality as he interacted with key regional media, influencers and fans during his recent trip to the UAE. McDermitt was invited to the region by FOX and beIN to promote The Walking Dead, the number one series on FOX channels worldwide.
McDermitt capped his three-day visit to Dubai with a traditional Emirati breakfast at Al Bas takiya; one of the oldest heritage sites that dates back to the early 1900s, and got a glimpse into this city’s most picturesque sites. In addition to that, he took part in a unique and award winning experience with the Heritage Desert Safari, which is Dubai’s most popular and authentic desert safari tour.
Commenting on his trip, McDermitt said, “Thank you Dubai for a warm welcome. I had a wonderful experience and I’m pleasantly surprised with the passion and knowledge of The Walking Dead fans in this country. I am impressed by the traditional and the ultra-modern contrast of the city whose people showed me the most genuine and memorable hospitality.”
As part of his visit, McDermitt made an appearance at Comic Con and treated fans to pictures, autographs and answered all their questions. The region’s enthusiasm for the series was also reflected in the great interest of regional and local media from print, online and radio to meet the renowned actor and get more information on the series and his visit to Dubai.
