Dubai, 21st March, 2017: The Dubai Design and Fashion Council (DDFC), in partnership with the Chalhoub Group, will be hosting a panel discussion on the future of fashion retail, titled ‘See Now, Buy Now – Can It Work?’, on March 23rd, as part of the Fashion Forward Season 9 programme.
Moderated by Ritu Upadhyay, the Middle East correspondent for New York’s Women's Wear Daily, the panel will feature Etienne Cochet, General Manager of Who's Next, Premiere Classe; Rania Masri, General Manager of Level Shoes District; Bong Guerrero, CEO and Co-Founder of Fashion Forward Dubai; and Firras AlWahabi, Owner of Faux Consultancy.
The panel discussion will focus on the “See Now, Buy Now” approach, the impact this model is having on sales, its viability for both e-commerce and brick-and-mortar stores, and opportunities for the model in the region. With a “See Now, Buy Now” model, collections are available for purchase immediately after appearing on the runway.
The talk will be held in collaboration with the Chalhoub Group, the leading partner for luxury across the Middle East. As part of its strategic partnership with DDFC, the Chalhoub Group is offering its expertise to designers in the UAE in order to equip them with the necessary business acumen to become competitive on both a national and global scale.
The “See Now, Buy Now – Can It Work?” talk will take place at Hai d3, on Thursday, March 23rd at 5.30 pm.
This talk is free to attend but registration is required.
