Sharjah Healthcare City brings on board its first hospital from UAE

Ahalia Hospital will be the first UAE hospital to be part of SHCC that is spread across 2.5 million sq. mtr area and will be home to leading local and international healthcare entities
Sharjah, UAE; March 19th, 2017: Ahalia Hospital has signed an agreement with Sharjah Healthcare City (SHCC), becoming the first healthcare organization to setup operations at Sharjah Healthcare City.
Awarded ‘Superbrand’ status by the UAE Superbrands Council early this year, Ahalia Medical Group currently operates 3 hospitals, 14 Medical centers, 2 specialized Ophthalmology medical centers and over 26 Pharmacies across the UAE, with this initiative marking the Group’s penetration into the Emirate of Sharjah.

Located adjacent to the Sharjah International Airport, SHCC’s 2.5 million Sq. meter premises is slated to build a consummate infrastructure that will include state-of-the-art clinical facilities and office suites, for which the initial blueprint has been tentatively approved by HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

In recent times, several high-level delegations from across the globe had visited Sharjah to meet with officials of SHA and SHCC to strengthen bilateral relations and explore investment opportunities in the healthcare sector, promote medical tourism, and initiate strategic imperatives to counter any challenges faced by medical communities across the industry. SHCC is now getting several requests from overseas hospitals and medical entities that are eager to be part of this prestigious project.
