Ajman Chamber of Commerce & INDEX Conferences & Exhibitions Sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)

“To Develop a Study for Ajman International Convention & Exhibition Centre Project”

Dubai - United Arab Emirates, 27th of February 2017:  The Ajman Chamber of Commerce & Industry and INDEX Conferences & Exhibitions, a member of INDEX Holding, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop a preliminary study for Ajman International Convention & Exhibition Centre Project that will extend on an area of one million square feet. The project will include exhibition and conference halls, two hotels, a shopping mall and a fully integrated health centre.

The MoU was signed by H.E. Abdullah Al Muwajai, Chairman of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, Chairman of INDEX Holding, at the Ajman chamber; and it was attended by a number of local and international partners. 

On the sidelines of the signing ceremony, H.E. Abdullah Al Muwajai, Chairman of the Ajman Chamber welcomed all the attendees and praised the great efforts and the role that INDEX Holding, as a leading UAE company, is playing in different sectors. He has expressed his happiness about the great number of local companies in the UAE that are contributing directly to the sustainable development of all sectors in the country.

He has also stressed on Ajman Chamber’s keenness in improving various services that support the economic sector in the emirate, and it works on promoting Ajman as a business hub and tourists attraction. 

He added that through this project “Ajman International Convention and Exhibition Centre” that is still under studying, Ajman Chamber seeks to support Ajman’s economic activity and tourism sector aiming to keep up with the sustainable development of Ajman, and provide a variety of employment opportunities as well as the chance to develop many other projects.

From his side, Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani said: “We are very glad that INDEX Conferences & Exhibitions, a member of INDEX Holding, will be the main partner in executing this project from planning to designing, construction, development and management of the Ajman International Convention and Exhibition Centre, which will include exhibition and conference halls, two hotels, a shopping mall and a fully integrated health centre.”

Dr. Al Madani added: "As a leading national company, we are proud to be chosen to develop this huge economic project that is of great importance to the emirate of Ajman in specific and to the UAE in general, and I appreciate Ajman Chamber’s confidence in INDEX as a UAE company in implementing this project.”

In conclusion, Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani announced that INDEX Conferences & Exhibitions will be designing this project in the highest international standards and it will cooperate with its American partner, Gresham, Smith & Partners, which is considered one of the top ten companies in the United States in the field of design.
