Spanish Fashion Entrepreneurs Showcase Their Classic and Elegant Collections at Global Village

Dubai, UAE, February 23, 2017: Global Village is taking advantage of Spain’s growing global reputation for fashion this season by hosting a number of creative designers and entrepreneurs at the Spain Pavilion. Spanish fashion is today all over the contemporary shopping scene with international brands known for their good quality.
Global Village, the region’s first multicultural festival park, is reinforcing this trend in its 21st season by supporting a number of Spanish inspiring entrepreneurs with a unique taste of the beautiful, fearless and youthful fashion offerings known to Spain. .
Guests will encounter an array of authentic handcrafted Spanish products ranging from chic and exclusive jewellery to stylish and flamboyant hand stitched shoes, as the Spanish Pavilion hosts unique leather goods craftsmen, shoemakers and jewellers.
It is also a showcase for the sophisticated and elegant jewellery of ‘Jomaro’. Owned by the renowned Spanish designer, Pilar Martinez, Jomaro’s intricate and delicate designs are inspired by all things of nature, ranging from flowers to leaves and magical landscapes.
They are made from exquisite gold and silver jewellery with precious and semiprecious stones such as amethyst, coral, and agate amongst others including a diverse range of accessories from pendants, brooches, rings, bracelets, to earrings and necklaces.
Maria Jomaro, daughter of Pilar Martinez, said: “There is nothing like Global Village. We get people from all around the world from India to all of GCC and as far as Russia coming to the pavilion. It’s truly the best place to showcase Jomaro’s jewellery to the world and put a spotlight on one of Spain’s most prominent talented designer. You will not find any other store with these designs.”
Beautiful Spanish footwear is also featured at the ‘CABRALOCA’ store, which refers to the Canary Islands expression ‘loco como una cabra’ or ‘crazy like a goat’, and features stunning and bewitching shoe collections that aim to evoke the ‘out of the ordinary’ or ‘crazy’ flair that the brand name expresses.
As soon as you enter the Spanish Pavilion, it captures your attention. The wide range of beautifully made shoes include the famous glittery trendy ‘abarca’, traditional tantalising ‘oxfords’ and completed by cute baby shoes and suitable ‘machine washable’ collections. Every collection is handmade in the old fashioned way and manufactured in their small factory by highly skilled Spanish craftsmen.
Joseph Agius, the owner of CABRALOCA, said: “Our first year as an exhibitor in Global Village was 2007. We started with a variety of shoes, and our collections were a potpourri of colours from all over. However, people keep coming back to us, as we concentrated and strived to offer our clients the highest-quality footwear and always honestly advise them appropriately.”

Global Village will continue to provide a unique shopping, food, and entertainment experiences to its guests every day until April 8, 2017. Global Village's opening hours are from 4 pm to 12 am Saturday to Wednesday and from 4 pm to 1 am on Thursdays and Fridays in addition to public holidays.
