Little separates the tip of the artist’s paintbrush from the tip of the ballerina’s shoe. This observation lies at the heart of Repetto’s spring-summer 2017 collection, which draws its inspiration from “Signs”, a legendary ballet at the crossroads of art and classical dance.
An ode to joy and to brilliant colors, this new line brings together Repetto’s much sought-after shoes with pieces from our ready-to-wear collection, our Active Line, and our range of accessories, all finished with artistic touches that reference the seven abstract tableaux of “Signs”.
This hymn to life, harmony, and movement finds a sartorial expression in a collection of bold primary colors, geometric forms, and poetic accents.
This season, Repetto dares to mark out the stylistic leaps and bounds of a new femininity, one charged with romanticism, character, and with bold choices of styles and materials that oer a greater freedom of movement: delicate, powder pink creations feature alongside graphic pieces offering joyful reinterpretations with colorful curves.
From ready-to-wear to shoes and accessories, elegant details – some with a vintage feel – oer a touch of gentlewomanly grace. In the same spirit of romantic originality, several menswear pieces have received a feminine update to create a boyish look for the active but always composed young lady who is the inspiration for our whole Spring-Summer 2017 ready-to-wear collection.
Through subtle touches that echo the paintings of “Signs”, Repetto also plays on contrasts by exploring beautiful gradients on skirts, leggings, sneakers, and ballerinas. All these aesthetic chapters reect the abstract choreographic tableaux of “Signes”; each piece is unique yet part of a harmonious whole, like the colorful days of a summer that ow into one another while each bringing something new…
