Today, we took the world’s most desirable jean and customized it with a slimmer leg, introducing the 501® Skinny, the newest addition to the 501® Family. 

We held true to the ageless heritage of the 501® Original with a button fly and classic look, but remastered it with a skinnier leg that’s crafted for 2017. The skinny jean has become a wardrobe staple, and the 501® Skinny adds an authentic, vintage feel to your closet that only the creators of the blue jean can offer. 

“We are very careful when we touch the 501®, and we do it with a lot of respect,” explains Jonathan Cheung, the Head of Design at Levi’s® Brand. “People have been altering their vintage 501® jeans for a snug, skinnier fit for years, so we followed that as inspiration and created a vintage-looking 501® Skinny.”

Available in non-stretch, low stretch and a range of washes for both men and women, the 501® Skinny joins the 501® Family, alongside the 501® Original and the 501®CT. Here’s the difference: 

501® Original:
•    Mid rise with regular fit through thigh 
•    Straight leg
•    Button fly

501®CT:
•    Sits at waist
•    Slightly fitted through hip and thigh  
•    Tapered leg
•    Button fly

501® Skinny:
•    Women’s has a waist-enhancing rise
•    Men’s sits below the waist 
•    Skinny leg
•    Button fly
