DMCA to showcase maritime cluster's competitiveness at Seatrade Maritime Middle East 2016

October 31, 2016. Dubai, United Arab Emirates: The Dubai Maritime City Authority (DMCA) has joined national, regional and international players at Seatrade Maritime Middle East 2016, the leading maritime event being held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. The event is running from October 31 to November 2 at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre (DICEC) on the sidelines of the Dubai Maritime Week 2016.
DMCA’s participation will highlight Dubai's successful experiences in transforming to one of the most competitive and comprehensive maritime clusters in the world through its pavilion, which will also demonstrate the features of the local maritime sector, as well as possible opportunities for international investors.
Seatrade Maritime Middle East 2016 has drawn the attention of leading companies in the local, regional and global maritime sector. It hosts 7,500 participants including decision makers, experts, businessmen and those working in the maritime industry looking for major developments and find collaboration opportunities that would bring the maritime industry to a new level of growth and sustainability in line with best practices and latest technological innovations.
The current edition has several interactive sessions in its agenda, hosting a group of the most important spokespersons in the sector, including Ahmed Essa Hareb Al Falahi, CEO of Gulf Energy Maritime (GEM), Katharina Stanzel, Managing Director of INTERTANKO, Dr. Naji Abi Aad, COO of Petroleb and Fazel A Fazelbhoy, CEO of Synergy Offshore.
Amer Ali, Executive Director of DMCA, said that Seatrade Maritime Middle East 2016 continues to make a positive impact by building the platform for effective communication among pioneers of the local, regional and global maritime sector. He stressed that DMCA is committed to support international efforts in facing the current challenges, identifying emerging opportunities and developing a clear roadmap for optimizing the available growth opportunities in the sector and meet the industry’s comprehensive and sustainable development objectives.

Seatrade Maritime Middle East 2016 is held on the sidelines of the Dubai Marine Week 2016 taking place from October 30 to November 3, featuring more than 350 exhibitors of leading maritime companies from around the world and more than 7,000 visitors of leading local, regional and international experts under a single platform. It offers the venue for discussion on the latest developments and presents the most promising solutions and opportunities available at both local and international maritime sector.
