Dubai, UAE, September 26, 2016: IWC Schaffhausen officially announces Hend Sabri as a new brand ambassador for the Middle East. During her career, which already spans more than two decades, the Tunisian actress has made a substantial contribution to the development of Arab cinema.
IWC Schaffhausen expresses its passion for cinema as a partner of hand-picked film festivals, but also through collaborations with a select group of influential actors and actresses. Today, the Swiss luxury watch manufacturer officially announces Hend Sabri as a brand ambassador for the Middle East. The Tunisian actress is known in the region for the various roles she has portrayed in film and on television. Recently, she starred as Ola in the Arab television comedy drama “Ayza Atgawiz”. The actress and professionally trained lawyer is also an ambassador for the United Nations World Food Programme.
“It is my pride and honour to have been selected as a brand ambassador for IWC Schaffhausen. I admire the brand’s support for local filmmaking and look forward to working with them closely to promote it further in the future”, Hend commented on her appointment. IWC Regional Brand Director Luc Rochereau added: “It is our pleasure to welcome Hend Sabri to the IWC Schaffhausen family. She is a powerhouse performer and also makes a difference through her humanitarian work. We have found the perfect partner in her.”
Sabri was a member of the IWC Filmmakers Jury for the final of the fourth annual IWC Filmmaker Award at the 12th Dubai International Film Festival in 2015, where she and the other jury members evaluated scripts and selected a winner. Earlier this year, Sabri also visited the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) in Geneva to celebrate the launch of the new IWC Pilot’s Watch collection. Other guests included actresses Rosamund Pike, Hilary Swank and Zhou Xun, actors Christoph Waltz, Scott Eastwood, Chris Evans, Dev Patel, Elyas M’Barek and Moritz Bleibtreu, Formula One racing drivers Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg and supermodels Adriana Lima and Karolína Kurková.
