Dubai, September 19, 2016 – Fujitsu hosted its latest imaging industry conference in London, UK, from the 12th to 13th of September. Over 400 delegates attended this year’s event, the theme for which was “Digital Transformation – Managing Documents in the Digital Age”. Representatives from a wide range of industries including, legal, education and finance gave valuable insights into user scenarios. Twelve channel partners were awarded with special prizes for exceptional performance in several categories.
Fujitsu invited distributors, independent software vendors (ISV), resellers and manufacturers to provide an in-depth view of the latest trends and market opportunities in the face of the rapidly evolving digital transformation industry. The conference focused on the current role of electronic document management and capture solutions across all business verticals and opened its doors to many end user delegates on the second day of the event.
Mike Nelson, Vice President at Fujitsu subsidiary PFU (EMEA) Limited., addresses the ICC audience and emphasised the opportunities of the digital transformation.
The conference highpoints also included a keynote speech from internet pioneer Jo Caudron on digital transformation and John Mancini from AIIM (Association for Information and Image Management) on new document management strategies. In addition a panel discussion with experts from across the information management industry discussed the impact of the next stages of digital transformation.
Robert Young, Senior Manager Business Operations of PFU (EMEA) Limited., discussed the mega trends influencing the way we perform information capture, whilst Klaus Schulz, Senior Manager Product Marketing EMEA at PFU (EMEA) Limited., elaborated on “The vision and the future of capture technology”, and Neil Walker, Senior Manager Channel Marketing of PFU (EMEA) Limited., explained the new Imaging Channel Program and the many support schemes that can help partners capitalize on growth opportunities.
This year’s Information Capture Conference included a special focus on industry specific breakout sessions. Topics included transforming the legal services, reducing operational costs in education as well as technical and organisational improvements in the finance industry.
The following partners showcased their solutions in the exhibition area: Abbyy, Document Logistix, Dokmee (Office Gemini), ELO Digital Office, Dell EMC (supported by Aerow), Emmedi, Fujitsu, Kofax, Meniko Records Management Services, Nuance Communications, Quantyca Software Solutions and Silex Technology.
"We have always focused on the solution rather than just the scanning hardware. To achieve this, we work together with our channel partners to provide the very best end user solutions, using the optimum mix of hardware and software", says Mike Nelson, Vice President at Fujitsu subsidiary PFU (EMEA) Limited. "With the expansion of our PaperStream software portfolio we now support integrated and seamless information capture that will support our customers' digital transformation initiatives."
PFU is proud to announce that a total of 5,000 Euros was donated to the conference’s chosen charity Childnet, a UK-based organisation working towards making the internet a safer place for children. In addition to this donation PFU is looking forward to supporting the Childnet activity Safer Internet Day 2017.
