Dubai, UAE, August 28, 2016: Samsung has appointed Aptec, an Ingram Micro (NYSE: IM) company, a leading technology sales, marketing and logistics enterprise, as the official distributor for the Gulf region for its wide range of enterprise-focused printing solutions.
Aptec, is the largest value-added distributor in the Middle East, Turkey and Africa. Established in 1980, Aptec is also the oldest distributor in the region, with a wide network of resellers and a rich portfolio of products to offer IT solutions for businesses.
Sherif Fahim, Head of Printing Solutions at Samsung Gulf Electronics commented, “We are certain that Aptec's geographical coverage, decades of experience, extensive customer base and value-added services, especially within the Gulf, will create a whole new range of possibilities for our printing technology. Primed to deliver substantial cost savings to businesses and boost their mobility and productivity, our printing solutions range from hardware to business applications.”
Bahaa Salah, managing director of Aptec, Gulf and Near East region, added, “This partnership with Samsung presents a great and exciting opportunity to further enhance and enrich our enterprise solutions offerings to the channel. As a key point in the value chain, we strive to create sales and profitability opportunities for vendors and resellers through unique marketing programs, logistics services, technical support, financial services, and product aggregation and distribution.”
Samsung’s growing printing solutions portfolio includes the latest in the ProXpress series. Set to lower total cost of ownership with a larger toner capacity and reduced power consumption (with Instant Fusing System technology), Samsung’s latest ProXpress C3060 series with its Dual CPU (800MHz & 400MHz) ensures better productivity by cutting print times. The ProXpress C30 series is optimized for small and medium-sized company users, especially in business sectors such as professional services and retail, where printing quality, usability and operation costs are prioritized.
Another key feature of the C30 series is its high-quality graphics. With resolutions of 9,600 x 600 dots per inch and Samsung’s Rendering engine for Clean Pages (ReCP) technology, printed, copied and scanned documents and images are optimized, with unnecessary details omitted and unclear elements enhanced. Any Samsung eXtensible Open Architecture (XOA) embedded devices or selected independent software vendor (ISV) solutions such as Rindale, Scanshare and Cirrato can be easily integrated with the C30 series.
