Toyota wins Preferred SUV Car Brand of the Year at The Filipino Times Awards 2016
Dubai, UAE, August 23, 2016: Toyota has added another accolade to their impressive list of wins, claiming the “Preferred SUV Car Brand of the Year” at The Filipino Times (TFT) Awards 2016.
The win comes following a round of voting through public survey to find out the most favoured brands by the Filipino community in the UAE. The voting included several categories including dining, banking, electronics, shopping outlets and more, alongside the favourite SUV brand category.
Saud Abbasi, Managing Director of Toyota at Al-Futtaim Motors, said: “Toyota has always prided itself on providing a car for every need, backed by the brand’s legendary quality, durability and reliability. We’re extremely proud to have been voted the top car brand in this category by the Filipino community, cementing Toyota’s position as the UAE’s number one automotive brand, backed by more than 61 years of the Al-Futtaim Motors customer-first ethos.”
“For Filipinos particularly, we know that they appreciate not just the stylish designs, but also the unrivalled performance and fuel economy that comes with our cars. More so, the low Total Cost of Ownership that our cars offer is unmatched in the market, making each Toyota the best proposition for any personal or business need,” he added.
Following an internal data analysis, Al-Futtaim Motors found that the most popular SUV Toyota models among Filipinos were RAV4 and Fortuner. The study also found that the majority of Filipino customers are Dubai-based and they split fairly between the two genders, with male buyers accounting for 54% of the total Filipino customers.
