Dubai, UAE, 3 August, 2016- Dabur International has unveiled two new body lotions under its DermoViva skin care range using essential oils from native trees found in the Middle East and North African region. The new products, DermoViva Argan and DermoViva Olive body lotions, highlight the deeply moisturizing and nourishing characteristics of argan and olive oils.
Argan oil, an essence extracted from the argan tree, is traditionally used in North Africa for treating skin diseases and as a moisturizer for dry and flaky skin. The oil works as a natural barrier for the skin, protecting it from the harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation, pollution and dust. It contains natural nutrients such as Vitamins A, E and F, offering an intensely moisturizing effect lasting up to 24 hours.
Meanwhile, olive oil is considered worldwide as one of the healthiest vegetable oils and has been widely used by women in the region for skin protection for centuries. The deep penetrating properties of olive oil nourish the skin from within, leaving a more natural silky smoothness while being protected by antioxidant properties from the damaging impacts of intense sunrays. Dermoviva Olive lotion also contains Vitamins A, E and F.
Vivek Dhir, Chief Marketing Officer of Dabur International, said: “Dabur International has continuously invested in Research & Development to further enhance our offerings for the DermoViva skin care line as a premium brand at an extremely competitive price. The DermoViva Argan and DermoViva Olive lotions are the result of this initiative to add to our full range of DermoViva body lotions.”
Dabur International has already successfully introduced argan oil in its range of hair care products, while the DermoViva Olive lotion, made from virgin olive oil and directly sourced from the Mediterranean region, is the latest addition to DermoViva’s line of skin care products infused with the oil, which is also a key ingredient in other products such as DermoViva olive soap, moisturizing cream and face-mask.
“Naturals extracts of argan and olive were carefully chosen and tested by our R&D team to bring out their nourishing and moisturizing properties for vibrant and healthy skin. We are confident that the new DermoViva Argan and Olive body lotions will be appreciated by discerning consumers of the region, who are familiar with the benefits of these essential oils,” concluded Dhir.
Rikka Mehta, Head of Marketing Communication, Dabur International, said: “Since its establishment in 1884, Dabur is renowned worldwide for using nature’s best ingredients to develop its products. Naturals extracts of argan and olive were carefully chosen and tested by our R&D team to bring out their nourishing and moisturizing properties for vibrant and healthy skin.”
“We are confident the new Argan and Olive body lotion range of DermoViva will be appreciated by discerning consumers especially in the region, who are familiar with the benefits that come from these natural oils,” Mehta added.
DermoViva’s other lotions include the Fairness Glow, with herbal infusions from sandal, turmeric and saffron to reduce dark spots, uneven skin tone and discoloration. The Moisture Plus lotion has almond oil, honey and aloe vera as a natural moisture-boosting formula to revitalize skin and keep its soft moisture. Meanwhile, the Age-Defying lotion has natural proteins to fight advanced ageing due to the harmful effects of pollution to the skin. It has natural antioxidants from pomegranate, yoghurt and flavonoids found in chamomile.
Dabur International, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dabur India, has an overall turnover of more than USD 1.3 billion and a market capitalization of around USD 8 billion. Dabur’s International Business Division headquartered in Dubai is the cornerstone of its growth strategy, reaching a milestone of AED 1 billion within only eight years of its existence.
