Kodak Alaris Launches Wireless Network Scanners to Support BYOD and Mobility in the Workplace

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, 2nd August, 2016 – Kodak Alaris launches the newest technology wireless desktop scanners  – the Kodak ScanMate i1150WN and the Kodak i1190WN Scanners. These scanners will provide wireless and network connectivity and are mobile app ready to support BYOD and mobility in the workplace.

These follow the desktop family of 40 page-per-minute Kodak i1190 and i1190E Scanners that deliver superior speed and data capture accuracy for multiple document types, making it an excellent solution for loan origination, case management, HR onboarding, accounts payable/receivable, and records management, among other applications. The i1190 Series is designed to process paperwork faster and closer to the point of intake to initiate or complete a business transaction, ultimately improving the speed at which decisions are made and responsiveness to customers.

A recent survey on the rapid adoption of Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policies[1] indicates that nearly 75 percent of companies allow BYOD as a way for employees to check e-mail and complete work outside of traditional business hours. There’s little doubt that enterprise mobility will continue to be a major productivity enabler as workers grow accustomed to accessing real-time data and organizations incorporate smartphones and other connected devices into their business processes. Organizations that prefer to scan files and documents using their own proprietary mobile app can integrate with Kodak Alaris scanners using the web application programming interface (API).
