Media Konnect, the exclusive social digital platform for the media and entertainment industry, launches in the UAE

Dubai, UAE, July 24, 2016:   Media Konnect, the first-of-its-kind digital social platform for the global media and entertainment industry, established by Krian Media, was launched today in the UAE. The unique platform aims to provide end-to-end solutions for the film fraternity; bridging the knowledge and connections the film industry being exposed to.

Media Konnect will be the first global online portal which will provide end to end solution for all film makers across the world irrespective of their country or the language in which they would like to make their film. From script writers to directors to technicians, every vertical that is required to make a film will be listed in a separate category and will be validated / authenticated by Media Konnect. 

The core concept of Media Konnect was borne out of the industry challenges, observed and experienced by the pioneers and now the younger generation, who are aspiring to be part of this vibrant and exciting industry. The most known being cost of content; substantial financial losses due to lack of market understanding and audience expectations; distribution limitations, processes and systems in the current industry norms. 

Speaking at the launch of Media Konnect, Mr. Ranjit Thakur, Founder and President of Krian Media, said: “Media Konnect is not a talent platform. It covers the entire spectrum of global connections in the content creation and collaboration space. Its versatility stretches from getting subsidy from any country required to make a film to selling the remake rights of a script to a language this producer would have otherwise never thought of.”

The launch of Media Konnect was attended by renowned and accomplished film personalities from around the world including Lorelle Yee, Director of Marketing at Screens Producers Australia; Sean Grigley, Senior Partner at Perkins Coie; Mr. Shubham Majumder, Head of Telecom at Kotak Investment Banking; Mr. Jamshed Mistry, Advocate and Senior Counsel in the Central Government Panel; Mr. Viveck Vaswani, actor, writer and producer noted for his work in super hit film Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman (1992) starring Shahrukh Khan highlighting their perspectives and insights towards the need and changes being brought in the industry. 

Media Konnect as a platform will be available globally on web, App on iOS and Android with phased launches in French, Spanish and Chinese over the next quarter and major film markets like in India, China, Mexico, France, USA, and the UK. Media Konnect already has participation intent from many major Hollywood and other 

International studios to become a part of this global exchange platform connecting minds, ideas and talent together to see ideas come to life.
